All commercially-used materials can be joined by substance-to-substance bonds. Adhesive bonding is a laminar and low heat joining method. NMI has the expertise and methods for systematically selecting of adhesives, surface pre-treatments and handling of adhesives.
NMI uses different testing methods for the mechanical characterisation of adhesives and adhesively bonded joints and also for accelerated aging of bonded joints due to damaging media.
