USB meets medical: FOX-XM-USB
FOX-XM-USB: power supplies with USB connection for medical applications. With 5 V/1,400 mA the FOX6-XM-USB provides an output of 7 Watts, the 12 Watts model FOX12-XM-USB provides 5 V/2,200 mA. EN60601 approved, the devices meet the stringent requirements of medical standards.
To ensure optimum patient safety, the USB unit features protection class 2 x MOPP (Means of Patient Protection), minimal leakage currents of ≤ 5 µA and double locking of the housing. An MBTF rate of 200,000 hours stands for a long deployment and service life.
In addition to patient safety, efficiency plays a major role: with low standby losses of ≤ 0,09 Watts and a high efficiency rate the medical FOX line already complies with the demanding US energy efficiency standards DoE 2016 (Department of Energy), although this segment is temporarily exempt from the regulations.
Compact dimensions of 55 x 31 x 41 mm (6 W) and 75x31,5x41 mm (12 W) combined with low product weight (6 W: 50 g, 12 W: 65 g) make the FOX-XM-USB devices an optimal solution for mobile medical applications. Designed for worldwide usability, the unit has a wide range input of 90 to 264 VAC and exchangeable adapters. As an optional accessory, FRIWO also offers an IP42 protected adapter.
