The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is Austria's largest research and technology organisation. Among the European research institutes, AIT is a specialist in the key infrastructure issues of the future.

Business Unit digital Health Information Systems
Located at Graz, Vienna and Hall in Tyrol the AITs research service Health Information Technology is focusing on integrated eHealth solutions for patient-centered health care, working closely with the leading medical and technical universities both in Austria and abroad.
KeepInTouch, the AITs intuitive and mobile solution for data acquisition by the patient makes it possible to supplement snapshot recordings of the medical status (single measurements) with ongoing telehealth service and providing the physician and/or caregiver with the data they need for individual therapy.
KIT TeleHealth Solutions allow information to be exchanged between patients and those involved in their treatment at any time and from any location. On the one hand they promote the patients’ awareness and hence their adherence to therapy while facilitating prompt intervention on the other hand, thus improving the quality of care and containing health expenditure in the long term.
Various solutions for different indications (heart failure, diabetes, and hypertension) are and have been embedded in complex existing IT infrastructures and have been evaluated and validated in the medical context.
