ACSYS Lasertechnik GmbH
Innovative high-precision laser machining centers
ACSYS Lasertechnik GmbH (Kornwestheim, Germany) develops and manufactures high-precision laser machining centers that can also be equipped for automated value chain processes. This enables cutting, welding, engraving, marking, digitalizing and microprocessing in processing single pieces as well as in series production. All installations – from the OYSTER benchtop laser to the ORCA machining center – satisfy the quality standard „Made in Germany“. ACSYS always chooses the most suitable Laser for the respective application and customer requirements with the best price-performance ratio – from industrial standard lasers to the latest high-precision, solid-state and gas lasers. As a result, Lasers with various wavelengths and power ratings from 0.5 to 1,000 Watts are used. The ACSYS software suite features a full graphic interface, is modular, easy to get familiar with, and is available in many languages.
All laser machining centers are configured based on one of seven top-notch standard installations with modules. They can be easily expanded at any time. The installation can be optimized with respect to parameters such as speed, precision, lot size, flexibility or setup time. Every application is perfectly adapted to the respective production process and the material to be processed using additional expansion options with multiple functionalities for linear and rotational motions. Tasks such as contactless depth control and optical part recognition can be added for automated processes. ACSYS developed and introduced the Live Adjust System (LAS) – a high-resolution camera preview system for minimizing setup costs – that was successfully introduced in the market for our laser installations. – Unrivalled to this day.
The hardware and software from ACSYS offers customers matured machine concepts paired with perfect craftsmanship. All installation specifications are based on the know-how of the team in the ACSYS development and production center in Mittweida (Saxony, Germany) using state-of-the-art 3D design tools and production processes. Furthermore, our design engineers also test workpieces and materials of customers in the in-house laboratory and equip their available standard machinery with a suitable laser source or even with a finely adjusted combination of multiple sources. They use fiber lasers, diode-pumped systems or CO2 lasers that can be either pulsed or designed as a CW laser system as per customer preference. All lasers feature an exceptionally long service life while almost all of them are air-cooled and require little maintenance.
This enables great flexibility in designing customer-specific solutions based on the seven standard machines. For this purpose, ACSYS uses an extensive scope of standard installations including laser tables, urban lasers and laser cutting machines with integrated interfaces to additional machining functions and various levels of automation. These can be used to create e.g. robotic laser systems for automated processes or installations with a rotary indexing table, a drawer system for loading and unloading as well as pallet loading.
The AC-LASER software package is an in-house development of ACSYS with a special advantage: It contains all tools required for material processing using lasers – from simple markings to complex 3D engravings for single parts or series production. The graphic user interface enables fast and simple processing of any job. Furthermore, smart image processing functions minimize setup times. The software is available in many languages and is database-integrated.
The company is headquartered in Kornwestheim near Stuttgart, Germany, was founded in 2003 and is still managed by the owners. The team, which has now grown to 100 employees, manufactures laser machining centers from standard models to customer-specific solutions for leading companies in Germany, Europe and overseas. The sectors served include automotive, electrical, toolmaking, coin manufacturing, watch and jewelry as well as mold making, medical and measurement technology industries. ACSYS has fully owned subsidiaries in Mittweida and Lüdenscheid (both Germany) as well as in Lenexa/Kansas (US). Short delivery and service times are guaranteed worldwide through sales partnerships in currently more than 35 countries.
ACSYS is an innovative solution provider who is in a position to offer state-of-the-art laser technology – such as nanosecond, picosecond and femtosecond lasers – through its own research lab. This know how is constantly developed further through close cooperation with the Laser Institute of Mittweida University. A highly motivated team provides support for all projects worldwide within the framework of a collaborative partnership involving the customer in the development process right from the start. For example, the customer will get support from ACSYS service specialists while calibrating and commissioning during integration of the installation. The consistently high manufacturing quality is continuously confirmed by quality management systems according to DIN ISO 9001:2008 und DIN EN ISO 14001.
